Field Sobriety Tests

Roadside DUI Tests

Police officers know that experienced defense attorneys will challenge the credibility of a breathalyzer or blood test. To bolster their evidence in support of a DUI arrest, police officers will conduct field sobriety tests that are designed to provide evidence of intoxication.

While the evidence from field sobriety tests are often used in DUI cases, studies show that field sobriety tests are extremely unreliable.

Put Our Experience to Work for You

If you have been arrested for DUI in Salt Lake City or the surrounding areas, let the experienced DUI defense lawyers at Wasatch Advocates provide the vigorous defense you need. Our attorneys are knowledgeable about all field sobriety tests, including:

  • Eye gaze tests
  • Stand on one leg test
  • Balance/walk the line test
  • Alphabet recitation test

Each of these tests can be scrutinized effectively by an experienced criminal defense attorney. If retained to handle your case, we will aggressively challenge the state's evidence to seek the best possible result in your case.

Our attorneys are highly familiar with Utah DUI laws and local court procedures. Prior to joining our firm, attorney Phil Wormdahl worked at the Salt Lake City Prosecutor's Office. Attorney Abe Bates worked as a public defender. We believe strongly that our broad-based experience is a significant advantage to anyone charged with DUI.
